Inside of me the thought of he,

   Ignites unquenching flames.

What ailment this brings my heart,

When I but hear his name.

Awe to love and love again,

But all of it in vain.

Awe to love and love again,

But all of it brings pain.

At night when we, would lay then he,

   Would always draw me close.

His body pressed against my skin,

   This I miss the most.

Awe to love and love again,

But all of it in vain.

Awe to love and love again,

   Loneliness, doth reign.

Inspired in me, for love of thee,

   Written words of care.

Would I relive it differently, and

   From Heavens wrath be spared?

Awe to love and love again,

But all of it in vain.

Awe to love and love again,

   My penance brings no gains.

Grievous eternity, from loss of he

   Why cannot the heart forget?

Beyond my own small destiny

The course has, but been set

Awe to love and love again,

But all of it in vain.

Awe to love and love again,

My heart still bears his name
