If Ever
In Vain

Pretty packages neatly groomed

but inside vast amounts of room.

Hollow inside, a resounding echo

How easy to walk away, easy to let go.

A pure heart of gold cannot be found

   I wonder, wander all around.

In search of him whose love is true

God say it can’t be, the only one is you?

I will stay here alone, I will settle for no other

Until his heart is shown, my friend my lover.
