Something found in this First Kiss.

Lips and bodies pressed in bliss.

While elation and pleasure gained,

   Will the affection remain?

Something gained and something lost,

But will my heart be the cost?

Is it better to none embrace,

And refuse to look upon your face?

If I cannot be certain of the ending.

Grown weary from my hearts need of mending.

But my heart walled up, always protected,

No one let close, no one selected.

Leaves it imprisoned there,

Pushed away, they no longer dare.

To abandon or embrace this first caress?

To live imprisoned or to take life’s best?

I will live my life for today.

I renounce the future, tis too far away.

Let your passion into me be poured.

Let me touch your face so long adored.

All this will be yours and mine.

Pour the sweetest fruit of the vine.

But this wine is no sweeter than the lips of thine,

Intoxicating let me drink of them and you of mine.
