If Ever
In Vain

I cannot leave and just walk away

And it matters not what price I pay

Even if it be unto Death

Giving till there is nothing left

For you all is conditional, you can’t understand

Everyday and everything, always a thought out plan

And how the world views me, I really do not care

Whispering, judging, always wanting more than their share

It is not them that are my concern

The flame here in, they do not cause to burn

As for you, you have as much fault as he

All your lessons still learned must be

I will not be moved and I will not leave

Yes, I would rather be happy than to stay and grieve

But this choice is not mine to make

My heart, no longer mine to take
