Wakes me nightly from my sleep

   Demanding to be heard

Restless spirits, wakeful sleep

   Forces me to write their words

Surreal dreams that make me weep

   Reality, its majesty blurred

Questioning my own sanity

   But somehow enjoy that it’s obscured
